I am here to help you to learn Irish Gaelic. I know that there are lots of people all over the world who have Irish connections and a great love for all things Irish.  This site is my gift to all of you.

By now many of you have found from browsing the internet that there is a language spoken in Ireland which is very ancient and very beautiful. It is a wonderful language which needs to be spoken and heard. It was made by poets and sang to the accompaniment of the harp. Some believed the sound of this language to have magical properties and hesitated to put it into print or to write it down.

At one stage our language was in danger of extinction as a result of events of great calamity which occurred in the recent past. Thankfully the language was loved and cherished by people who realized its true worth. Even today dedicated people work to preserve it and to keep it alive and this despite much resistance from others who are ignorant of the treasure they wish to throw away.

The Irish language needs your contribution to keep it alive. Learning a language is not difficult. You have mastered the art already otherwise you would not understand this.

I invite you to add this page to your favourites and to check in regularly to find out how you can get in touch with your roots by speaking your own language. You will never know how good it feels until you try.
